Home is where we spend most of our time. In this pandemic, we are all coming to appreciate interiors more, and are looking for ways to enhance our personal space and make it look more elegant and inviting.

If you’re looking to renovate your home, know that there are many easy ways you can do it, without having to poke a hole in your pocket. Keyur Zaveri, Vice President of Design at Furlenco, shares some ideas that can give your home a rich and luxurious look. Read on.

1. Simplicity is sophistication

While it may seem counterintuitive to continue adding expensive décor to your home, in today’s age, a little is more. Simplifying your space can give a stylish look to your home. Invest in some statement pieces – lamp, mural, center table décor that are cohesive and work well with the theme of your room rather than having too many things that don’t seem like they belong together. Resist the temptation to make your home look huge.

2. Luxurious seating

The most important part in creating a luxury home is adding comfortable and elegant furniture. Pillows and pillows in different sizes can instantly make a home more inviting. Play around with furniture colors and textures and find soft furniture that complements the centerpieces. Invest in high-quality fabrics such as velvet, linen, or suede to upholster your furniture. You can even try woven fabrics like blue denim and faux leather.

3. Luxurious lighting

Lighting can make a big difference to the ambiance of your home. Using multiple sources of light that draw attention to different angles in the home can make a space feel well cohesive. Invest in ceiling lights, floor lamps, table lamps, and light fixtures to accentuate your favorite areas. While it is desirable to keep a single color and tone of light, intensity and direction can be played with to improve the ambiance.

4. Layering

Layering works wonders everywhere. Add decorative pieces to your furniture for a luxurious look. Rugs add sophistication and splendor, instantly changing the look of a room. Area rugs under tables and sofas help define spaces and can blend the whole look together. Try some stylish runners near your bed, over dining tables, or even bathrooms. You can also add wall and window coverings for a more overall aesthetic.

5. Metal

You can add a small but noticeable metallic touch to update your interiors; But don’t overdo it. The key to going bling is to keep the metal accessories minimal. Consider gold, bronze, copper, or silver colors and incorporate them into pillows, lamps, walls, light fixtures, or centerpieces.
